On Thursday, November 7, 2024, Yonyou Customer Connect SEA 2024 took place at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre. Yonyou Customer Connect SEA 2024 is an annual event gathering Yonyou customers and partners. This year’s highlights included new product launches tailored to Southeast Asian businesses, an MOU signing ceremony with OCBC to showcase enhanced collaboration and a joint product solution, and a dedicated session on enterprise data security.

Howard Chen, Managing Director of Yonyou South Asia-Pacific, opened the event with a welcome address. He reminisced about Yonyou’s 15 years of operation in Singapore. Through the years, technology advancements have been unprecedented, and Yonyou has kept pace with deep technology to serve enterprises who trust Yonyou’s products as the backbone of their business operations. Singapore has also been a central hub for enterprises to set up bases in Southeast Asia. Hence, Yonyou is dedicated to investing enough resources into product development specific to serving enterprises in this region.

In 2025, Yonyou is set to empower Southeast Asian enterprises with its latest technological advancements: YonBIP: Business Innovation Platform v. 2312, YonBuilder: Low-Code Development Platform, Business Travel & Expense Platform, Collection Reconciliation Cloud, and Enterprise-Bank link. Targeting pain points in key business areas such as procurement, finance, funding, and business operations, these products are often adopted together as a unified solution to address management challenges, compliance and tax risks, and process inefficiencies.

1. Collection Reconciliation Cloud

Collection Reconciliation Cloud offers a comprehensive suite of tools to optimize payment collection and reconciliation processes. It enables businesses to accept payments through various channels, including online platforms, payment gateways, direct bank deposits, and point-of-sale systems. By centralizing data capture and order processing, Collection Reconciliation Cloud ensures efficient order fulfillment. Furthermore, it automates payment reconciliation, streamlining the process of matching payments to invoices and accounting for platform fees. This integrated approach helps businesses improve cash flow, reduce errors, and gain valuable insights into their revenue streams. Collection Reconciliation Cloud integrates with OCBC, enabling the automatic transfer of bank transaction data from OCBC’s platform to Yonyou’s platform. This integration facilitates seamless record matching and automated flagging of any discrepancies.

2.Business Travel & Expense Management

Yonyou’s Business Travel & Expense Management is a cloud-based platform offering a comprehensive enterprise spending management solution built around business travel. It integrates with major travel platforms like Trip.com and Booking.com, connecting to over 100 service providers for business travel, dining, benefits, and more. Additionally, it integrates with OA (office automation) and ERP (enterprise resource planning) systems. The platform streamlines the entire business spending process, from application to booking, reimbursement, settlement, and receipt management. This helps enterprises enhance compliance, reduce costs, and improve efficiency. This solution can be further enhanced with OCBC Virtual Purchasing Card capability. This allows companies to assign each employee a virtual card with pre-set spending limits and criteria. This eliminates the need for employees to use personal credit cards for company purchases and enables enterprises to closely track and monitor spending with greater control and compliance.

3.Bank-Enterprise Link

Yonyou’s Bank-Enterprise Link is a comprehensive solution that streamlines global financial operations. By connecting to a vast network of over 2300 domestic and 200+ foreign banks through its data nodes in Beijing and Singapore, it enables seamless cross-border transactions. This solution supports various bank types, including policy banks, state-owned banks, commercial banks, and internet banks. Adhering to international standards like ISO-20022, SWIFT-MT, and ECBICS, it facilitates efficient and secure financial processes. The platform supports multiple transaction types, including foreign exchange, collections, and letters of credit, ensuring comprehensive coverage of global financial needs.

Yonyou’s collaboration with OCBC as an integrated bank platform further enhances its value proposition. This partnership offers real-time insights, automated processes, and robust security measures. He highlighted the vulnerabilities and risks that enterprises face due to security flaws in software systems or third-party components. These risks can lead to severe consequences such as hacking, data breaches, and business disruptions. He detailed Yonyou’s comprehensive strategy for product security, which involves several key components: proactively addressing emerging threats through continuous updates to security policies and technologies; implementing specialized security measures to safeguard custom applications; ensuring the security of older systems by applying necessary protections; rigorously testing security patches to prevent unintended vulnerabilities; and optimizing network configurations to minimize potential attack surfaces.

Ngai Chin: Construction Digitization Enables Successful Project Delivery

Established in 1986, Ngai Chin is one of Singapore’s pioneering interior fitting-out service providers. Clifton Chong, QS and IT Manager, shared at the event about their service offerings and project successes. They have previously implemented project management and enterprise resource planning modules to enable digital-intelligent project management and integrated business-finance operations. This digitalization journey has enabled them to manage 3 factories, 400 employees, and complete over 500 projects within a decade. Some of their notable projects include office fit-outs for renowned companies like Chanel Singapore, Grab, IHH Healthcare and Dell Global.
